The upcoming Mac Pro display is priced at $4,999, so, clearly, Apple was not thinking about Mac customers in general. Where are the Apple-branded add-on cameras for iPhone users? Would you not like a true wide angle lens? Or, perhaps a telephoto lens that was not laughably inadequate?
Apple makes accessories for various products. Watch is an accessory for iPhone and not yet a standalone product. Cases are accessories for iPhone. Keyboards are an accessory for iPads.
Would you like to see an Apple-branded drone that would carry an iPhone?
“No drone for you!” says the Drone Nazi!
Drones are everywhere these days. We live in a condo along North Michigan Avenue in Chicago and that gives us a good view of the Chicago skyline, Lake Michigan, sunrises, traffic, and, yes, drones.
They’re everywhere. What we have yet to see are drones falling from the sky. Do those things have parachutes? Who would be responsible for a drone that stops mid-sky and falls into a schoolyard or smacks into a car windshield while it’s traveling?
Apple, of course.
Commercial drones are a reality these days and they are growing in number that it won’t be long before a few untimely crashes make the news; no, not the backyard crashes, but the kind that hit windshields, tie up traffic, or injure people.
Apple may sell drones in Apple Stores or online, but an Apple-branded drone– even one specially made for iPhone videography– won’t see the light of day because the Mac maker values its reputation and brand more than the paltry amount of revenue that would come from drone sales.
I haven’t found a drone parachute on the Apple Store, though. That would be a thoughtful, considerate touch.
Government regulators with too little to do are looking at Apple as it’s the same apple in the bad bunch of tech companies that need to be regulated– Google, Facebook, Amazon, I’m looking at you.
What about drone regulations?
Where are the parachutes? Where is the black box? Where is the Apple drone? Like parachutes and black boxes for drones, they are never to be seen.
