Nations working on treaties go to great lengths to make the seating arrangements work best for the interested parties. If you’re a Mac user, and you have a wedding or meeting or party event, here’s the perfect app to handle the seating.
It’s called PerfectTablePlan. All one word. What it does is give you a visual representation of the seating arrangement– meeting room, banquet hall, or whatever or wherever– so you can drop in the names.
Here’s what PerfectTablePlan on the Mac looks like.
Visual representation of the floor plan, table plan coupled to the table chart and guest chart makes PerfectTablePlan almost self explanatory.
Select a floor plan and table plan to match your event. Add attendee names to the list (import from a list or import from OS X’s Contacts app). Then it’s just drag and drop– find a name and move it to a seat in the table plan.
Contact lists can have additional information, including type of food, VIP status, whether or not an RSVP has been received. Add as many tables as you need to a floor plan and manage attendees for each.
PerfectTablePlan makes it easy to experiment with different layouts, different floor plans, and different table sizes and locations. Once you have the seating arrangements in good order, print the floor plan and seating charts. That makes it amazingly simple to create and place name cards.
What kinds of meetings and events can PerfectTablePlan handle? Weddings, of course. Corporate meetings, awards ceremonies, dinners, banquets, even charity fundraisers, or bar and bat mitzvahs. Using PerfecTablePlan is a breeze, but there are instruction videos to help you get started. There’s also a Windows PC version available, and the app is fully try-before-you-buy.
There’s probably a good market for the app among professional meeting and event organizers, but anyone working on a fundraiser or wedding party will see the value instantly. It’s a huge timesaver, and time is money.
