Technology becomes ever more complex, complicated and frustrating. Is it any wonder Apple has sold halve a billion iOS devices in just a few short years. Small is beautiful. Less is more. In keeping with the theme of minimalist, I introduce my favorite Mac clock. Rather, it’s an alarm clock with the name TinyAlarm.
This very handy and cleverly useful alarm clock sits in the Mac’s menubar. Create an alarm with a click to the Menubar to begin the setup process. Create multiple alarms with different sounds for alerts. See? Less is more.
What’s the more portion of a one-click Menubar alarm clock?
TinyAlarm is accessible from within any Mac app (the benefits of living in the Menubar), and it does more than just set an alarm. It can speak the alarm title at the appropriate time, or play a custom audio file.
Sounds can fade in gently so as not to startle you while dozing off in your office cubicle or classroom. Use TinyAlarm to alert you to a specific alarm time with your own audio, your own music, the Mac speaking to you, or even plain old system sounds.
Small is beautiful. Less is more.
There’s just one problem. The older version of TinyAlarm allowed for a one-click alarm creation, whereas the newest version uses one-click to begin the alarm creation setup. Maybe less was too little.
