I prefer Safari, but dabble in Chrome. I use Mail for email. Calendar for calendar. And Contacts for names, numbers, and addresses.
Alright, that said, there are some exceptions, especially when a utility app brings something to the table that’s actually better than Apple’s own apps, or adds more useful functionality.
One of those little utilities you may really appreciate is called Cobook Contacts. It’s an address book for those with plenty of addresses and a few social flourishes, too. First of all, it syncs with Contacts on OS X so you keep what you have already.
Second, all the contact details are available with a click to the Menubar.
Third, Cobook Contacts actually lets you add more information in an easier-to-use layout than Apple’s Contacts.
Finally, the app gets all social on your bad self by integrating Facebook, Twitter, and Xing social networks. And, there’s an iPhone version, too. This nifty utility is well done and adds just the right blend of additional functions not easily accessed or even available in Apple’s Contacts.
