This is a perfect opportunity for customization and Apple let us down again. Apple doesn’t seem to like it when we Mac users try to personalize our devices beyond Desktop wallpaper or moving icons around in the Dock.
If you get email, and I’m sure you do, then here’s the cleverest personalized email notification system I’ve seen to date. Instead of a boring Notification Center pop up, how about something like Cute Notification?
See? Isn’t that much better than Notification Center’s pop ups?
Cute Notification is not only cute but it gives you the option to assign a character to specific incoming email.
There’s plenty of cartoon characters too choose from in Cute Notification, but I’m not necessarily advocating the app as a way to customize or personalize your Mac (although it works).
What I’d like to see Apple do is provide a way whereby we can assign specific photos or images to email subjects or categories, or to people in our Contacts and have those pop up into Notification Center when email arrives.
That would be cooler than Cute Notification, no?
