Take outliners. Please. When I was in school I hated outlines. Today, outlines are my life, both at home and work. Why? Outlines are very useful organization tools. Take a cleverly designed outliner app and marry it to the cloud and you’ve got an outliner that goes everywhere.
That is what Cloud Outliner does.
As outliners go, it’s rather inexpensive but has standard features and a few extras. Yes, it does outlines for plans, projects, ideas, whatever. By using Apple’s iCloud, Cloud Outliner gets your outlines on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, which is pretty much everywhere you go. This one even syncs up with Evernote which is also cloud-driven and everywhere you go.
Outlines are synced up instantly between all three Apple devices. Outlines can be imported and exported in the standard OPML format, but also saved in PDF, and printed.
The Mac version uses full screen, and all outlines are autosaved as you use them. The outliner isn’t particularly exciting, and not along the lines of Tree’s horizontal outliner, but competent, and useful, made better by synchronizing between devices.
