Here’s an idea whose time has come. If Apple ever makes a touchscreen Mac, you can be sure that Highlight will become a popular app.
What is Highlight? Think highlighter; those colored marking pens we use to highlight notes or next in a printed document. Highlight lets you draw and highlight right on the Mac’s screen.
Highlight creates a layer on top of any app or web page or document on the Mac’s screen. Then, simply use the screen pointer to draw or highlight an object on the screen.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Options? Not much.
Highlight lets you change the color and size of the marker pen. Draw free form or straight lines, ovals, and rectangles. Shapes drawn on the screen can also be deleted.
There’s also a global keyboard shortcut to bring Highlight to the front of your screen.
How would you use Highlight? A live demo using the Mac’s screen. Or, draw on the screen while recording video using QuickTime Player or another screen capture app.
Or, just use Highlight to doodle around and get creative on the screen.
