Sometimes you just want to send a bunch of photos from your iPhone to someone else’s iPad. Other times, you want to share photos without resorting to Mail or iMessage (or, between iPad, iPhone, Mac and PC). And, you want to do it fast and easy.
Yes, there’s an app for that. Actually, many apps. One of the simplest to use is appropriately named Photo Transfer App. You can guess what it does.
Install Photo Transfer App on your iPhone and iPad, grab a few hundred photos that you want to transfer back and forth, and you’re good to go. The transfer happens over Wi-Fi and it could not be much easier.
Open Photo Transfer App and touch the Receive or Send button. The app finds a nearby iPhone or iPad or Mac or PC. Then select the photo or photos you want to send using the Select button. And, then the selected device can receive the photos and save them to a new or existing photo album.
That’s about it. The transfer is quick and painless between devices and you can select up to a few hundred photos to send at one time. It also sends photos over Bluetooth if there’s no Wi-Fi connection. All the photo’s metadata is preserved, too, and you can choose which resolution to receive.
Mac users also have a free Photo Transfer App to use to make the transfer even easier.
The interface is clean, simple, and self explanatory. Sharing photos to other devices can’t be much easier. The only problem is it’s best if both devices have Photo Transfer App installed, but an open browser window can also work.
