Because I have so many apps coming and going. High on the list of apps that I keep trying but not keeping are music players. iTunes is OK, but painful to use. Musique is a newly renamed music player app for the Mac you could learn to love.
Use Musique to play music, view music, grab song lyrics, and display the humongous playlist. Control your music selections and sounds from a the elegant panel. Or, browse your music by album cover art.
Musique is smart enough to correct misspellings in track titles, albums, and artists names (vestiges from the CD dark ages). The Info View (big ‘i’ button on the control bar) lists more information than you need to know.
This app is nicely done, runs separate from iTunes (good for users who have music from Amazon, Google, CDs, and iTunes), and even scrobbles to Last.fm.
Musique’s price tag is nominal, but I would like to see a more minimalist view sans the album art. That should always be a feature that’s easily turned off.
