So, I’m on something of a crusade to find ways to do more with less effort.
Our family is big on Facebook and we share photos aplenty. Still, using Facebook on the Mac requires too many clicks and too much maintenance so I’ve been looking around for apps to make me more efficient. High on the list is DropBook. Think of what you’d get if Facebook married drag and drop.
What you get is DropBook and a drag and drop way to update Facebook.
DropBook places a translucent giant F on your Mac’s screen. Drag and drop onto the F and your Facebook account gets updated.
Drag photos from iPhoto or Safair or the Finder and drop them on DropBook’s big giant F and the app takes care of everything else.
Yes, Facebook does more and so does DropBook.
One click and you get a pop up to update your status. Post the song or album that’s playing in iTunes. Drag and drop a browser link or any selected text, and it’s ready to upload.
Short of Siri showing up on my Mac and updating Facebook without asking me what to update, I can’t think of a faster way to manage Facebook updates.
Simple. Fast. Inexpensive.
Now, if the app could just come up with a way to read my Facebook wall and give me a summary.
